Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel Wins Remarkable Hotel of the Year
The Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel has been awarded Remarkable Hotel of the Year in the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards 2019.
Now in its 10th year, The Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards recognise the best individuals, attractions and hospitality businesses in the area’s booming tourism industry. This is the second year in a row that the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel has been successful at the REYTAs, having won the ‘Remarkable Business Tourism Award’ in 2018.
The 4* Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel is a beautiful 19th Century manor house surrounded by 12 acres of landscaped gardens. The hotel features 100 recently refurbished bedrooms with locally inspired décor as well as the famous International Suite which can hold up to 550 guests for weddings, events or conferences. The hotel also features a Feel Good Health Club including the Spa Serenity and a heated indoor pool. Guests can enjoy fresh seasonal ingredients at the modern European restaurant The Brasserie.

Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel won big at the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards 2018
The hotel won a REYTA 2018 award for The Remarkable Business Tourism category at the 9th annual awards night on 15th March 2018. The REYTA’s are an annual celebration of Hull and East Yorkshire’s tourism industry; recognising the quality of businesses, individuals and the contribution they make to East Yorkshire’s economy.

The hotel was subject to a mystery enquiry and visit, which was handled by our Conference & Events Supervisor, Ashleigh and Conference & Events Sales Executive, Natasha. The pair provided a smooth and professional experience from enquiry to show round at the highest level of customer service, resulting in the hotel being rewarded the REYTA award for Remarkable Business Tourism. Mercure Hull, Grange Park Hotel Supports Rays of Sunshine
Mercure Hull, Grange Park Hotel are delighted to announce their new charity partner this year is Rays of Sunshine, www.raysofsunshine.org.uk, a UK registered children’s charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill children aged 3 to 18 by granting their wishes, granting hospital ward wishes and organising large scale events.
Our aim is to raise £2000 in the first year of the partnership to fund magical wishes for brave and deserving children and to do that WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Every day of the year Rays of Sunshine gives brave and deserving young people the chance to put their illness on hold and enjoy a moment of escape. Over 6,000 individual wishes have been granted since the charity was set up in 2003. Wishes can be as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for the day, go to Disneyland in Paris, visit Santa in Lapland, own an iPad, meet a favourite celebrity or even a ‘real life’ mermaid, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that wish come true.
Rays of Sunshine also grants ward wishes, which offer a distraction to hundreds of children during their time in hospital or a hospice. Events and outings are held throughout the year for large groups of seriously ill children including trips to theme parks, hospital activity/pamper days and parties.

The Mercure Hull Grange Park has been transformed by an extensive investment and renovation programme.
The transformation covered the refurbishment of all 100 bedrooms and the redesign of the famous International Suite, cementing the property as the main events hotel in the area.
The renovation of the International Suite, capable of hosting up to 550 guests, is bespoke and locally inspired, demonstrating the best the local area has to offer and offering one of the largest events spaces available within a hotel in Yorkshire.
The bedroom refurbishment compliments the International Suite theme and incorporates similar locally inspired design choices bringing a unique and individual feel to the property. The local area has directly influenced the design and feel of the bedrooms, with bespoke artwork commissioned to truly capture the local surroundings.
General Manager Peter Nye said: “2017 is an exciting year for the city with Hull adopting the title of City of Culture. To celebrate we took the city as the inspiration for our refurbishment, drawing on our local surroundings to inspire our interior designers. The investment in the hotel demonstrates our continued commitment to offering guests to the city the finest experience, product and service.
