When you book your festival-themed wedding with us at Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, we have our beautiful extensive mature gardens, ideal for a festival vibe ceremony and reception. Still, you also use our indoor Windows on the park suite, where we can bring the outdoors inside if needed. Always best to have a plan B in place!
Outdoor ceremony styling
There is something very romantic about outdoor wedding ceremonies, with more and more couples opting to get married outside. At Mercure Hull Grange Park hotel, we are licenced for our beautiful extensive Gardens and intimate Courtyard area to host legal wedding ceremonies. We would also have the backup plan of an indoor suite reserved should the weather not permit an outdoor ceremony to go ahead.
Think informal straw bale seating with colourful blankets, a beautiful backdrop of trees and nature with all your closest friends and family gathered around to see you both say ‘I Do.’
Transportation with a festival Vibe
The word festival makes you instantly think of the iconic VW Campervan; they are cute, colourful, and have plenty of room for you and your wedding party. For more guests to transport, why not opt for a vintage bus, with single-decker and double-decker versions widely available for a quirky twist? Just so you know, however, a bus may not be able to get to places that other vehicles might. Here at Mercure Hull Grange Park hotel, we have plenty of parking for all cars, including plenty of room for large buses to park or turn around.
Reception drinks with a festival twist
Suppose you want something slightly different from the traditional glass of bucks fizz. In that case, our fantastic new Festival Themed Wedding package includes a choice of festival-themed reception drinks that can be served outside our retro Cedar’s caravan Bar. With the option of festival-themed cocktails, a selection of bottled beers and ciders, or a refreshing fruity gin and tonic, this will surely get the festival party started.
Wedding food for a festival-themed wedding
Food served at a festival-themed wedding is relaxed and informal, with street-style food stands now becoming a popular laid-back food option. Our Festival Themed Wedding Package includes a choice of 3 different food stands, which can be set up either outside or inside and with choices to appeal to everyone, making it easier for couples than choosing a three-course sit-down menu that everyone will like. Other food choices are available such as a BBQ or self-serve grazing boards/ platters. Here at Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, we want to work closely with couples to tailor a menu that suits their requirements and understand that every couples needs are unique.
Festival style entertainment
Entertainment is a fun and exciting way to ensure your day is remembered by your guests and yourselves. Festival-style outdoor games, glitter face painters, magicians, stilt walkers, or perhaps a live acoustic singer or band are all fantastic additions to intrigue and entertain your guests. Here at Mercure Hull Grange Park hotel, we have our giant jenga, drafts, connect 4, skittles, ring toss and tug of war as just a selection of the outdoor games we can offer for your wedding guests to enjoy. We can also open a stage for your live acoustic singer or band.
Festival décor
The beauty of a festival wedding is the small touches that make the day memorable such as wedfest wristbands for your guests upon arrival. Festival signage, bunting and lighting, and rustic elements such as straw bales, wooden tree logs, a vintage wheelbarrow to serve drinks from or solar paper lanterns hanging from trees are all simple touches that have a significant impact. Here at Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, we include several of these items within your Festival themed package to make bringing your theme to life much easier.
